About SecureCloud Parent topic

Trend Micro SecureCloud Hosted Service is a service offered by Trend Micro, which protects critical data stored on physical or virtual disk drives using real-time whole-volume encryption. The following types of environments are supported:
  • Public and hybrid cloud spaces
  • Physical (local) and virtual systems
  • Hybrid implementations or combinations of these environments
SecureCloud protects and controls confidential information stored on disk drives by encrypting them to keep data private and help meet regulatory compliance requirements. The following types of disk drives are protected:
  • Disk drives or volumes available in supported cloud environments
  • Virtual or physical disks attached via IDE or SCSI to the virtual or physical systems, as well as the remote drives attached via iSCSI
As a Software as a Service (SaaS) product, SecureCloud has a multi-tenant environment where multiple organizations are served. Administrators access the service through the SecureCloud Web Console via a secure Internet connection. Using this portal, administrators can define criteria on which instances can receive encryption/decryption keys. For example, criteria can include the location of the application, host name, and/or the latest Trend Micro engine and pattern file. In addition, obtain report and audit information about accounts using the portal.
