To establish connection between SecureCloud and the
Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) server—known as
the Key Server in SecureCloud, you need to specify the KMIP settings.
The connection between SecureCloud and the Key Server is established
through the Transport Layer Security (TLS) cryptographic protocol.
Typical TLS authentication requires a server certificate, client
certificate, and client (private) key.
The Central Management Console > Administration > Key
Server page allows you to specify the Key Server connection
settings. The Enable connection option allows
SecureCloud to connect to the Key Server (hostname or IP address
defined), where you can store and later retrieve the encryption
keys. Deselecting this check box results in SecureCloud not connecting
to the Key Server and therefore storing the encryption keys in the
SecureCloud database.
Make your connection secure by providing the required server and client certificates,
along with the client key and password.
