Configuring Quarantine Directory Settings

Whenever the OfficeScan client detects a security risk and the scan action is quarantine, it encrypts the infected file and then moves it to the local quarantine folder (by default, the Suspect folder in {OfficeScan installation folder}\OfficeScan Client).

After moving the file to the local quarantine directory, the client sends it to the designated quarantine directory, which you can specify in Networked Computers > Client Management > Settings > {Scan Type} > Action tab. Files in the designated quarantine directory are also encrypted to prevent them from infecting other files.

If the designated quarantine directory is on the OfficeScan server computer, specify settings on this screen.

To configure quarantine directory settings:

  1. Accept or modify the default capacity of the quarantine folder and the maximum size of an infected file that OfficeScan can store on the quarantine folder. The default values display on the screen.

  2. Click Save Quarantine Settings.

To remove all existing files in the quarantine folder, click Delete All Quarantined Files.
