Regularly synchronize the Policy Server with registered OfficeScan servers. Synchronization refers to the Policy Server requesting the following information from the OfficeScan server:
Current versions of the virus pattern file and scan engine
Current server outbreak status (normal mode or Outbreak mode)
This keeps the Policy Server up-to-date with the OfficeScan server so that the Policy Server can perform client validation. Use the following methods to perform synchronization:
Manually: Perform synchronization at any time on the Summary screen (see Policy Server Summary)
By schedule: Set a schedule to have OfficeScan perform synchronization (see Configuring scheduled synchronization)
You can view the results of a manual synchronization on the Summary - Synchronization Results screen.
