Configuring Mail Scan Parent topic


  1. Click the Settings button (icon_settings.jpg) on the main console.
  2. On the Protection tab, select Mail Scan from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enable Scan POP3 mail messages and attachments as they are downloaded from the mail server.
  4. Select the action that the OfficeScan agent takes after detecting an infected message.
    • Clean: The OfficeScan agent attempts to clean the infected message.
    • Delete: The OfficeScan agent permanently deletes the message before it reaches the user's mailbox.
    • Pass: The OfficeScan agent logs the detection but does not take action on the message.
  5. Select Clean/Delete infected files within compressed files to have the OfficeScan agent scan compressed attachments and attempt to clean any infected files detected. The OfficeScan agent deletes files that are uncleanable.
  6. Click OK.
