When you
use the
OfficeScan client uninstallation
program to remove the
OfficeScan client program
from a computer, the program automatically notifies the server.
When the server receives this notification, it removes the
OfficeScan client icon in the
client tree to show that
the
client does not exist
anymore.
However, if you use other methods to remove the OfficeScan client, such as reformatting
the computer hard drive or deleting the OfficeScan client files
manually, OfficeScan will not
be aware of the removal and it will display the OfficeScan client as inactive.
If a user unloads or disables the OfficeScan client for
an extended period of time, the server also displays the OfficeScan client as inactive.
To have the client tree
display active clients only,
configure OfficeScan to automatically
remove inactive clients from
the client tree.
