The
OfficeScan server
database contains all
OfficeScan settings, including
scan settings and privileges. If the server database becomes corrupted, you
can restore it if you have a backup. Back up the database manually
at any time or configure a backup schedule.
When backing up the database, OfficeScan automatically
helps defragment the database and repairs any possible corruption
to the index file.
Check the system event logs to determine the backup status. For
more information, see
System Event Logs.

Trend Micro recommends
configuring a schedule for automatic backup. Back up the database
during non-peak hours when server traffic is low.
