
Right-clicking the OfficeScan icon in the system tray allows you to perform the following tasks:
Open the OfficeScan console
View component versions
Your administrator may grant you the privilege to perform the following tasks by right-clicking the OfficeScan icon in the system tray and selecting the appropriate option:
Enable roaming mode
Manually update client components (the Update Now option)
Enable/Disable scheduled component update
Note: The OfficeScan administrator determines the actual schedule. You only have the option to enable or disable scheduled update.
Unload the OfficeScan client program
Postpone, stop, or skip Scheduled Scan
Before Scheduled Scan runs, right-click the OfficeScan client icon on the system tray and select Scheduled Scan Advanced Settings. On the notification window that displays, select one of the following options:
Postpone scanning for __ hours and __ minutes: After selecting this option, specify the postpone duration. Scheduled Scan can only be postponed once.
Skip this Scheduled Scan. The next Scheduled Scan runs on {date} at {time}.
If you do not have these two privileges, your only option is Run the scan as scheduled.
If Scheduled Scan is already in progress, right-click the OfficeScan client icon on the system tray and select Scheduled Scan Advanced Settings. On the notification window that displays, select one of the following options:
Stop scanning. Restart the scan after __ hours and __ minutes: After selecting this option, specify the amount of time that should elapse before scanning restarts. When scanning restarts, all previously scanned files are scanned again. Scheduled Scan can be stopped and then restarted only once.
Stop scanning. The next Scheduled Scan runs on {date} at {time}.
OfficeScan notifies you of any security risk detected before the scan was stopped. You can also check the logs for security risks detected during Scheduled Scan.
If you do not have these two privileges, your only option is Continue the Scheduled Scan.
