Initiating_Browser-based_Installation
Set up an email message that instructs users on the network to install the OfficeScan client. Users click the client installer link provided in the email to start the installation.
Before you install clients:
Check the client Installation Requirements.
Identify which computers on the network currently do not have protection against security risks. Perform the following tasks:
Run the Trend Micro Vulnerability Scanner. This tool analyzes computers for installed antivirus software based on an IP address range you specify. For details, see Using Vulnerability Scanner.
Query Active Directory. For details, see Security Compliance.
To initiate browser-based installation:
Networked Computers > Client Installation > Browser-based
Modify the subject line of the email message if necessary.
Click Create Email. The default mail program opens.
Send the email to the intended recipients.
