Adding a Network Zone

Policy Enforcement > Network Zones > Add

Create a Network Zone to apply policies to segments within your network.

To create a Network Zone:

  1. Click the General tab.

    1. Type up to 30 characters for the Name.

    2. Type an optional Comment. Comments can be up to 50 characters long.

    3. Specify the IP/MAC Addresses for this Network Zone. MORE>>

    4. Click Add to. The IP/MAC address displays on the list.

  2. Click the Interfaces/VLANs tab.

    1. Specify the Customize Interface Settings.

    2. Note: Selecting no ports is the same as selecting all ports. The default selection is clear.

    1. Specify the VLAN Settings. Select from All tagged and untagged VLAN IDs, All tagged VLAN IDs, or Specific VLAN IDs. MORE>>

  3. Click the Exception tab to specify exceptions to this Network Zone. You can add up to 64 IP or MAC addresses or address ranges to the exception list.

    1. Select IP address or MAC address next to Type.

    2. Type the exception IP or MAC address or range of addresses in the text box. MORE>>

    3. Click Add to. The exception displays in the list.

  4. Click Save.

Deleting a Network Zone

To delete a Network Zone:

  1. Click Network Zone from the Policy Enforcement menu.

  2. Select the check box next to the Network Zone.

  3. Click Delete.
