Network VirusWall Enforcer uses the Threat Management Agent (TMAgent) to perform certain policy enforcement tasks, including:
Checking for installed antivirus software
Checking the version of the virus pattern file
Scanning for threats, including malware responsible for ARP spoofing
Checking for unpatched vulnerabilities
Checking for missing or prohibited registry entries
Displaying popup notifications
Checking for use of prohibited protocols and instant messengers and prohibited file transfers
Cleanup of infected systems
The agent version released with Network VirusWall Enforcer has been tested on the following platforms.
Windows XP (Home and Professional editions) with Service Pack 2 or later
Note: IPv6 support is not enabled on Windows XP by default.
Windows Vista™ (Enterprise, Business, and Ultimate editions)
Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Windows 8 (3.5 Service Pack 1 or later)
Windows 8.1 (3.5 Service Pack 1 or later)
Windows 2000 (Professional, Server, and Advanced Server editions) with Service Pack 4
Note: Windows 2000 does not support IPv6 addressing.
