Two Network VirusWall Enforcer devices can be deployed as a failover pair, allowing one device to serve as a standby device in case the currently active device fails or loses connection. You can check whether the device you are managing is in a failover pair through the Real-time Status page. To configure device ports to act as failover ports and configure related settings, access the Preconfiguration console.
Before setting up a failover pair, consider the following information about licensing:
Devices in a failover pair must be activated individually. Copying the configuration file from one device to another will not activate both devices.
The licenses on both devices must have the same expiry date.
Both devices must use the same activation type and should be running in the same license mode (Full, Trial, No Agent Full, or No Agent Trial).
