Network VirusWall Enforcer supports IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
When specifying IPv4 addresses, note the following:
The maximum length of an address is 15 characters.
Integers "0-9" and "." can be part of an IP address.
Integers "0-9", ".", and "-" can be part of an IP address range.
The range of IP addresses must be between 0.0.0.0 and 255.255.255.255
The range must be Class A, Class B, or Class C
When specifying IPv6 addresses, note the following:
IPv6 addresses are normally written as eight groups of four hexadecimal digits, where each group is separated by a colon (:).
Any leading zeros in a group may be omitted.
One or any number of consecutive groups of 0 value may be replaced with two colons (::). This substitution with a double-colon may be performed only once in an address, because multiple occurrences would lead to ambiguity.
A network is denoted by the first address in the network and the size in bits of the prefix, separated by a slash "/".
Note: Network VirusWall Enforcer supports the CIDR format for specifying IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
Specify an IP address by placing a hyphen between two valid IPv4 addresses or two valid IPv6 addresses
The first IP address specified in an address range must be lower than the second IP address.
