Administration > Config Backup/Restore
The Configuration Backup & Restore page is where you can generate an IWSVA configuration file for backup. Also from this page, the configuration and policy information for the following Trend Micro products can be migrated to IWSVA 6.5 SP2:
IWSVA 6.5
IWSVA 6.5 SP1
IWSVA 6.5 SP2
Note: Upgrade previous IWSVA versions to IWSVA 6.5 and migrate to IWSVA 6.5 SP2 to import configuration to IWSVA 6.5 SP2.
IWSVA supports both full and partial migration. Use full migration to restore system and application settings or to apply current configuration to an IWSVA replacement machine. Perform a partial migration if you want to replace policy- and application-level configurations. For details about "Information Not Migrated", see Information Not Migrated in the Installation Guide.
Notes:
1. To perform a full migration, make sure the deployment mode,
IP address, and network card(s) are the same on the two IWSVA machines.
2. OS settings, system patch information, and pattern file will
not be updated after a full or partial migration.
3. IWSVA in High Availability mode only supports partial migration.
Click the Enable scheduled backup configuration file check box.
Click Apply.
IWSVA will back up the configuration at 23:29:00 every day and list the backup files under "Restore Configuration File from Scheduled Backup." You can select any backup file listed there to restore a specific configuration by clicking the Restore button. It will restore the system to the specified configuration. To delete a backup configuration file, click Delete.
Also, IWSVA supports automatic cleanup of backup configuration files through the following steps:
Edit /usr/iwss/migration/migration.ini.
- Set CleanBackup=yes to enable
scheduled cleanup configuration.
- Specify the number of latest backup configuration files that can
be saved, for example, to always keep the latest four files: LatestBackupNum=4. Older backup
configuration files will be deleted.
Execute the command /etc/iscan/rclwss restart.
When you first install IWSVA, the system automatically creates a backup configuration file (Initial installed setting). You can restore this backup configuration file to restore IWSVA back to the initial settings.
