IWSVA stores system logs on the local IWSVA server. A copy of the system logs is not kept in the IWSVA database (as is possible with reporting logs).
System logs include a record of all HTTP and FTP scans, configuration changes, mail delivery attempts, administration tasks, and update outcomes (such as virus patterns and scan engines).
Administration log—Describes when services stopped and started
Application Control log—Describes when services stopped and started
Audit trail log—Contains configuration changes made by users with various access rights.
FTP scan log—Contains FTP threat incidents
HTTP scan log—Contains HTTP threat incidents
Mail delivery daemon log—Contains email notifications
Update log—Contains the time the engine and pattern files are updated and the update results
Note: You must restart the tomcat service after you have changed the audit log directory.
Number of days to keep the system logs—Use this feature to "auto-delete" old logs as new ones are added. Default is five days.
