Setting Up Service Failure Notifications

If the HTTP and/or FTP scanning service go down, IWSVA will automatically try to restart them, twice within the first 30 seconds.

If a service cannot be restarted, you can have IWSVA send SNMP trap notifications to whatever target machine(s) you want. Trend Micro recommends that you install SNMP trap notifications using the bundled Net-SNMP package available with IWSVA.

SNMP can be installed at the time of setup, or anytime after.

You can also have IWSVA issue traps for the following events:

These events also support email notification, and will be written to the logs.
