Depending on the scope of URLs IWSVA has been configured to block (if any), the URL blocking notification can be one of the most frequently encountered. End-users will see it appear in their Web browser whenever they try to access Web content from a site that IWSVA has been configured to block in URL Access Control > URL Blocking | Via Pattern File (Phish) tabs.

User Notification Message

Whenever a user tries to download a file type that IWSVA has been configured to block, they will see an HTML page explaining that their request has been rejected (if the option is enabled).

• Headline—Type the header line to appear in the browser. The default headline is Trend Micro InterScan Web Security Event (%h).. The headline is common for virus infection messages, file type blocking, and URL blocking messages.

• Note: The URL %U and reason %X tokens can only be used in the main body.

• You can design your own notification page using any HTML editor; then, Import the page to IWSVA (for example, if you want to display company brandings, or provide a link to additional resources).

• You can append a custom message to the IWSVA default by selecting both the Default and Customized options.
