The Applet/ActiveX security list shows all Applet/ActiveX
scanning policies on the system—enabled as well as disabled. Click Add to create a new policy, or click
the list to edit an existing one.
Enable
Applet/ActiveX security—Globally controls the enabled status of
all policies; overrides the status of an individual policy. (Click Save after enabling/disabling applet/ActiveX
security.)
Add—Opens
the Add Policy wizard, which takes
you through the steps to define a new policy.
Priority—Sets
the order of precedence; if two conflicting policies overlap in their
scope, the policy with the higher priority (closer to 1) will be applied
and the other ignored. MORE>>
Note 1: The Applet/ActiveX
Security Global Policy is the default policy. It automatically
applies to all users. However, the global policy always takes the lowest
priority and any policy with a higher priority in the list takes precedence.
Note 2: The Applet/ActiveX
Security Guest Policy is enabled only after certain conditions
have been met, and the guest machine logs on using a special port. See
Guest Policy.
Deploy
Policies—Click after creating or modifying an Applet or ActiveX
security policy to have it immediately take effect.
