Flushing Your Proxy Cache

IWSVA scans Web content before sending to your proxy server. Already cached content will not be scanned. To be sure the cache server does not already contain harmful or unwanted content, Trend Micro recommends that you flush the proxy cache right after installing IWSVA, and then reboot the proxy server.

• Note: Trend Micro recommends that you flush the proxy cache from time to time to guard against caching threats that may not have been detectable with an older version of the pattern file. (See your product-specific documentation for cache flushing details).
