HTTP Scan: Exceptions

HTTP > HTTP Malware Scan > Policies | Policy | Exceptions

There might be URLs or files that you want to exempt from an HTTP policy (for example, the corporate intranet, business partner sites, and research tool sites).

You can create exception lists on the HTTP > Configuration > Approved Lists page.

• Approved URL list—Select the name of the approved URL list to exempt from the WRS settings and file type blocking rules in an HTTP policy.

• Approved file name list—Select a filename list to exempt from the file type blocking rules in an HTTP policy.

• Do not scan the contents of selected approved lists—Select this option if you do not want to scan the contents of the URLs or files in the approved lists for viruses. In addition, the compressed file handling action will not be applied to approved files.
