Accessing the Child Member

To access the child node:

  1. Administrators can log into the Web management console of the child node two ways:

To protect against accidental configuration, all cluster-level features are hidden or blocked in the child member's Web management interface. Only the child member applicable configuration parameters that apply specifically to the child member are exposed and configurable through the child member's Web management interface. See a list of the cluster-level and instance-level settings .

If administrators need to change cluster-level settings while logged into the child member, they can simply login to the parent member through the “Login” button posted beside the parent member on the Cluster Management screen.
