Deleting Logs Automatically

Trend Micro recommends that you have IWSVA automatically delete logs older than x number of days (typically, 15 or 30 days).

System logs can be automatically deleted from the IWSVA log directory. Report logs cannot. You can store Report logs in the IWSVA database, and have them automatically deleted from there.

To delete Report logs automatically:

1. From the main IWSVA menu, click Logs > Log Settings.

2. Click the Reporting Logs tab, and then under Options, specify the number of days you want IWSVA to keep logs.

3. On the same page, also under the Options section, choose Database only (the default) for the Write logs to: field.

• Note: Logs older than the specified time will be replaced by new logs as they are written.

To delete System logs automatically:

1. From the main IWSVA menu, click Logs > Log Settings.

2. Click the System Logs tab, and then under Options, specify the number of days you want IWSVA to keep logs.
