Access Quota Policy: Adding/Editing Policies

HTTP > Access Quota Policy > Add | Edit (click a policy name to open for editing)

• Enable policy—Enables or disables the individual policy; if the global setting at the top of the Access Quota Policies page is disabled, this individual setting is overridden.

• Daily | Weekly | Monthly access quota in MB—Set the quota for HTTP and decrypted HTTPS file downloads and page accesses. Users who exceed their allotment will be able to finish their current download, but will receive a notification in their Web browser upon their next Web access attempt. The quota is automatically reset at the end of the specified time period.

• Note: The time period you see in the policy is inherited from the main Access Quota Policy page. To specify a different time period, return to that page and then click Add Policies... again.

• Unlimited access—Choose this option to exempt the user(s) or groups from any quota limits. If a user is a member of a group with a more restrictive quota, and is also named in a policy with unlimited access, the more restrictive quota is overridden—and the user will have unlimited access.

Accounts

• The options for defining group membership depend on the User ID method.

• Identification—Specify to whom the policy applies. If LDAP is enabled in the User Identification page, enter the LDAP User or Group name. Otherwise, type an IP address, a range of IP addresses, or specify the host name.

• Notes—Record policy notes in this field, for example, to summarize the intent or justification for the policy. Notes can serve as a simple reminder to yourself, or you can use them to let others know the rationale for a given policy setting.

• Hint: To view the notes of an existing policy, open the Access Quota Policies page and click the Account Name for the Access Quota.
