The
scanner and policy services must be started to start protecting
your network using
IMSS.
You can, however, choose whether to install or start the EUQ service.

Scanner Service: Performs scanning of SMTP/POP3 traffic.

Policy Service: Acts as a remote store of rules for the scanner service to enhance
rule lookups.

EUQ Service: Hosts a web-based management console to enable end users to view,
delete and release spam messages addressed to them.
