Adding Policies

Before creating a policy, ensure that you have configured the internal addresses. For information, see Step 7: Configuring Internal Addresses.

Creating a policy involves the following steps:

Step 1: Specifying a Route
Step 2: Specifying Scanning Conditions
Step 3: Specifying Actions
Step 4: Finalizing a Policy

Tip

To prevent a virus leak and ensure that all messages are scanned, Trend Micro recommends that you maintain at least one antivirus rule that applies to all messages. Select all messages from the drop-down list when specifying the route for an antivirus rule.
