Configuring Smart Card Authentication in PolicyServer MMC Parent topic

Registering a smart card allows a user to log on with smart card authentication. For information about Full Disk Encryption Preboot smart card authentication, see File Encryption Smart Card Authentication.

Procedure

  1. Log on to PolicyServer MMC.
  2. Go to Full Disk Encryption → Login.
  3. Right-click Token Authentication and select Enable.
  4. Go to Full Disk Encryption → Password.
  5. Right-click Authentication Methods Allowed, then select Properties.
    The Edit Policy Value window appears.
  6. Select PIN, then click OK to confirm the policy change.
Smart card authentication is enabled.
