Adding Templates Parent topic

  1. Navigate to Data ProtectionTemplates.
    The Templates screen appears.
  2. Click Add.
    A new screen displays.
  3. Type a name for the template. The name must not exceed 100 bytes in length and cannot contain the following characters:
    > < * ^ | & ? \ /
  4. Select the type of data identifier, and then the actual data identifier name.
  5. If you selected an expression, type the number of occurrences, which is the number of times an expression must occur before DLP subjects it to a policy.
  6. If you selected a fingerprint, select one of the following match types:
    • Low-level Match: If the number of matched fingerprints is > 0 and < 12.5%, the document is sensitive.
    • Medium Match: If the number of matched fingerprints is >= 8 or >= 12.5%, the document is sensitive.
    • High-Level Match: If the number of matched fingerprints is >= 20 or over 33.3%, the document is sensitive.

    DLP compares the fingerprints of registered and transmitted digital assets, counts the number of matches, and then determines the match level.
  7. Click + to add condition statements.
  8. Select a logical operator for each condition statement.

    Use logical operators carefully when configuring condition statements. Incorrect usage leads to an erroneous condition statement that will likely produce unexpected results.
  9. Click Add.
    The rule is displayed in the Template Definitions list.
  10. Select a logical operator for each rule.
  11. Click Save.
