Network Configuration
Deep Edge helps administrators view and edit auto-detected network interfaces, and modifying physical L2 and L3 port configurations. For L3 configurations, Deep Edge offers the following configurations:
  • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
  • Static route configurations by IP address and netmask
  • Point-to-point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE)
Bridging
Administrators can transparently bridge two Deep Edge interfaces and filters network traffic to protect endpoints and servers with minimal impact to the existing network environment. Deep Edge supports Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) that ensures a loop-free topology for any bridged Ethernet local area network.
Routing
Deep Edge supports configuring static and dynamic routes and provides routing management functions such as: static and dynamic routing, including Routing Information protocol (RIP) and Open Path Shortest First (OSPF).
NAT
Administrators can configure Network Address Translation (NAT) policies to specify whether source or destination IP addresses and ports are converted between public and private addresses and ports.
Services
Deep Edge supports the following service configurations:
  • Domain Name server (DNS) forwarding
  • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers
  • Dynamic DNS (DDNS) settings
User VPN
Deep Edge supports Virtual Private Network (VPN) with the Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN).
Site-to-Site VPN
Deep Edge creates encrypted L3 tunnels by using the Internet Key Exchange (IKE) and IP Security (IPsec) protocols.
Mobile VPN
Deep Edge mobile VPN allows iPhone and Android mobile device users to easily and securely connect back to the corporate environment by utilizing the built-in IPsec VPN clients. No agent installation is required for the mobile devices.
