Configuring General SSL VPN Server Settings Parent topic

SSL VPN must be enabled to perform this procedure. To configure the general SSL VPN settings, select the interface, protocol (TCP/UDP), port, and authentication method associated with the VPN server. All SSL VPN clients use the override hostname option when accessing the corporate network.

Procedure

  1. Go to NetworkUser VPNSSL VPNGeneral.
  2. Use the Protocol drop-down list box to select the protocol (TCP or UDP) for SSL VPN.
  3. Specify the SSL Port number.
  4. Specify the device IP address for the Override host if the hostname of the device cannot be resolved in the client machine.
  5. Select the authentication server: Local or RADIUS.
    • For RADIUS, also add:
      • The RADIUS server IP address/bitmask
      • The port number
      • The shared secret

        Shared secrets are pre-shared keys that have been allocated to the communicating parties before the communication process starts.
      • To display the shared secret value, click Show secret.
      • To display only asterisks for the characters of the shared secret valueSelect Hide secret.
      • To test the radius availability, click Test.
  6. Click Apply.
