Performing System Maintenance Parent topic

Deep Edge provides system maintenance functionality that includes:
  • System shut down: Stops service, shuts down the machine, and powers off.
  • System restart: Stops service and restarts the machine.
  • Restore manufacturer's settings: Restores the original hardware box settings to the appliance.
  • Message: Allows a message to be added to the log for the shutdown, restart, and restore events.

Procedure

  1. Go to Administration → Maintenance → System Maintenance tab.
  2. Select the appropriate option:
    • Shutdown
    • Restart
    • Restore manufacturers settings
  3. (Optional) specify a message (up to 100 characters) to accompany the event in the log.
  4. Click Continue.
