Maintenance Agreement Parent topic

A Maintenance Agreement is a contract between an organization and Trend Micro, regarding the right to receive technical support and product updates in consideration for the payment of applicable fees. When a Trend Micro product is purchased, the License Agreement received with the product describes the terms of the Maintenance Agreement for that product.
A license to the Trend Micro software usually includes the right to product updates, pattern file updates, and basic technical support (“Maintenance”) for one (1) year from the date of purchase only. After the first year, Maintenance must be renewed on an annual basis at Trend Micro’s then-current Maintenance fees.
If the Maintenance Agreement expires, scanning can still occur, but the product cannot be updated, even manually. Also, the organization will not be entitled to receive technical support from Trend Micro.
Typically, ninety (90) days before the Maintenance Agreement expires, the organization will be alerted of the pending discontinuance. Update the Maintenance Agreement by purchasing renewal maintenance from a reseller, Trend Micro sales, or at the Trend Micro Online Registration URL:
