Deep Edge uses a widget framework for dashboard implementation that allows Administrators to select which widgets to display. The Deep Edge Summary Dashboard includes support for traffic status, system information, and security widgets in the following table.

Session Summary

Varies with the time displayed. The "Last 5 minutes" time setting refreshes every 10 seconds.
All others time settings refresh every 5 minutes.
This widget shows the TCP/UDP sessions status of the system. The time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
Click the items in the legend at the bottom of the widget to filter the information displayed. Hover the mouse over the points in the line graph for more details
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
Top Users
(Displays by default)

This widget shows the top users using the net­work. The time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
The default display is table style, but it can be toggled to display in table format. Top applications display if Administrators expand the user data.
To configure how many sources to be dis­played, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Top Applications

This widget shows the top applications passed through Deep Edge (configurable to be counted by bandwidth or by connection). The number of devices displayed is configurable. The top 5 show by default.
The data is for the last hour (For example, if current time is 2:08 pm, then the data is for 1:08 pm -2:08 pm).
Users can set the how many applications dis­play. Based on that information, the applica­tions are sorted by bandwidth or connection. To configure how many sources to be displayed, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Bandwidth Summary

This widget display bandwidth in/out informa­tion based on IP addresses. Mouse-over a point on a colored lines to display details for specific interfaces. Data is real-time data, but the widget itself also accumulates data.
The average value calculation is based on same time period from the previous day. For example, if the current value is 10:05, then the corresponding average value is calculated using the last seven day's values from the same time.
For the bandwidth summary widget, the in/out traffic count is based on the packets' source address. If the source address is an internal address, then it is displays as 'out', otherwise it is 'in'. The internal address is configured at Network > Deployment > Internal address.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
Top Domains

This widget shows the top accessed domain information. The number of domains displayed is configurable. The top 5 show by default. Also, the time period displayed can show infor­mation for the last hour, day, week, or month.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
The default display is bar-chart style, but it can be toggled to display in table format.
To configure how many sources to be displayed, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Top URL Categories

This widget shows URL category-related viola­tions. Also, the time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.

System Information Widgets
Interface information

This widget shows the interface information of the system. Current status for the interfaces in near real time.
Click Edit to go to the Network > Interfaces page and make changes to the interface.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
System Information
(Displays by default)

This widget show system related information. System information in near real time.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
Click Change by the System time information to go to the Administration > System Settings page and update the system time. Click Change by the License status to go to Administration > License. Click Change by the Deployment Mode to go to Network > Deployment.
System Resource
(Displays by default)
10 seconds
System resource usage information in near real time.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
Network information
(Displays by default)
5 minutes
This widget shows network-related information, such as system settings related to the network.
Click Change to go to the Administration > System Settings page and update name or IP address information.
Click the Edit icon to change the test domain address(es).

By default, the test domain is the Trend Micro domain: ctm10-en.url.trendmicro.com
If this test domain is down, the Internet Connection status shown in the System Resource widget may show "Disconnected" when in fact it is connected.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
Pattern Information

This widget shows the system pattern version information.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget.
Hardware monitor

This widget shows the hardware monitoring information.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget. When some specific events happen, the systems generates an email which is sent to the system Administrator. The system Administrator can be configured at: Administration > Notifications SMTP Settings. Security Widgets
Violation Event Status

This widget shows found violations for virus, botnet, IPS, WRS, and spam in a bar chart type. Also, the time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
Users can configure what information is dis­played by clicking the Edit icon. In the pop-up window, check the appropriate check box.
The default display is bar-chart style, but it can be toggled to display in table format.
To configure how many sources to be displayed, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Session Event Summary
(Displays by default)
Varies with the time displayed.
The "Last 5 minutes " time setting refreshes every 10 seconds.
All others time settings refresh every 5 minutes.
The Session Event Summary shows what session information happened in the specified period, including how many sessions were allowed, blocked or inspected. The period can be last 5 minutes, 1 hour, one day, 7 days or 30 days. The widget refreshes automatically.
Users can refresh the data manually by clicking Refresh icon in the upper right corner of the widget. Clicking the Allowed, Blocked, or Inspection icons in the legend below the graph toggles the information's displayed.
Top Devices Protected by WRS

This widget show Web Reputation Services (WRS)-related violations. Also, the time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
The default display is table style, but it can be toggled using the icons to display in bar-chart format.
If user information is available (if the IP address is mapped to an user), the widget dis­plays the source column as user. If the IP address is not mapped, the source IP address displays.
To configure how many sources to display, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Top Devices Protected by Anti-Virus

This widget show virus-related violation infor­mation. Also, the time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
The default display is table style. If user infor­mation is available (if the IP address is mapped to an user), the widget displays the source column as user. If the IP address is not mapped, the source IP address displays.
To configure how many sources to be displayed, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Device Risk Summary

This widget show the top devices that have security violations. The number of devices dis­played is configurable. The top 5 show by default. Based on the violation numbers, this widget combines the data points from the fol­lowing widgets:
  • Top Device Protected by IPS
  • Top Devices Protected by Anti-Virus
  • Top Devices Protected by Anti-Botnet
  • Top Devices Protected by WRS.
The default display is table style, but clicking the icons provided will render the information in bar-chart style. If user information is available (if the IP address is mapped to an user), the widget displays the source column as user. If the IP address is not mapped, the source IP address displays.
To configure how many sources to be dis­played, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Top Devices Protected by Anti-Botnets

This widget shows the top clients related to botnet violation. The number of devices displayed is configurable. The top 5 show by default. User can display a different number, such as the top 10. Also, the time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
The default display is table style, but clicking the icons provided will render the information in bar-chart style. If user information is available (if the IP address is mapped to an user), the widget displays the source column as user. If the IP address is not mapped, the source IP address displays.
To configure how many sources to be displayed, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
Top Devices Protected by IPS

This widgets shows IPS-related information. The default display is table style. If user information is available (if the IP address is mapped to an user), the widget displays the source column as user. If the IP address is not mapped, the source IP address displays.

The widget shows the spam-related violation.
Also, the time period displayed can show information for the last hour, day, week, or month.
The default display is table style. If user information is available (if the IP address is mapped to an user), the widget displays the source column as user. If the IP address is not mapped, the source IP address displays.
To configure how many sources to be displayed, click the Edit icon beside Refresh icon, and set the needed value in the pop-up window.
