Administrators must configure some basic settings according to service vendor they choose. The information needed varies between different services. Basically, each service requires domain name, account, and password information.
Some vendors (such as Oray and Dyn DNS) provide HTTPS connections as an option. Others (such as FreeDNS) do not expose the HTTPS interface, while DNSPod requires mandatory HTTPS connections.
Go to Network > Services > Dynamic DNS > General tab.
In the Dynamic DNS dialog box, do the following information:
Check the Enable Dynamic DNS check box.
Select a vendor.
Type your Username, Password, and Domain (such as company.com). The Password field can display plain text or obscured text. Click the Hide Secret or Show Secret to change.
(For DNSPod) Type your Host record (such as www, @, or *).
(Oray only) Select your Service level (Free, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate). All non-Free services are paid services that are required for HTTPS connections.
Select your WAN interface:
Auto: (Default) Deep Edge auto-discovers an interface with non-private IP address according to RFC 1597
Other: Deep Edge will always try to get public IP address from the interface.
Check the Enable HTTPS connection if you selected the Professional service type.
Click Apply.
