Managing Network Interface Ports Parent topic

Procedure

  1. Go to AdministrationSystem SettingsNetwork Interface.
  2. View the status for each port.
  3. (Optional) If using VLAN tags, select Check VLAN tags to differentiate TCP connections.

    When this option is enabled, Deep Discovery Inspector additionally checks the VLAN ID of each stream to differentiate TCP connections.
  4. If Show advanced settings is visibile, click Show advanced settings.
    The Decrypted SSL Traffic Identification and Encapsulated Remote Mirroring columns appear.
  5. (Optional) If using an SSL inspection product or service, specify how Deep Discovery Inspector identifies decrypted SSL traffic .
    1. In the Decrypted SSL Traffic Identification column, check Enable for each interface that receives decrypted SSL traffic.
      The Edit Criteria option appears in the Decrypted SSL Traffic Identification column when Enable is selected.
    2. Click Edit Criteria.
      The Identification for Decrypted SSL Traffic window appears.
    3. Configure the Marker VLAN tag or TCP port that decrypted SSL traffic uses.
    4. Click OK.
  6. (Optional) If recieving traffic via encapsulated remote mirroring, configure the recieving port on Deep Discovery Inspector.
    1. In the Encapsulated Remote Mirroring column, check Enable for each interface that receives ecapsulated mirrored traffic.
    2. In the text box in the Encapsulated Remote Mirroring column, type the IPv4 address for each interface that receives ecapsulated mirrored traffic.
  7. Click Save.
