Configuring Mail Scan Parent topic

Procedure

  1. Click the Settings button (icon-settings.jpg) on the main console.
  2. On the Protection tab, select Mail Scan from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enable Scan POP3 mail messages and attachments as they are downloaded from the mail server.
  4. Select the action that the Security Agent takes after detecting an infected message.
    • Clean: The Security Agent attempts to clean the infected message.
    • Delete: The Security Agent permanently deletes the message before it reaches the user's mailbox.
    • Pass: The Security Agent logs the detection but does not take action on the message.
  5. Select Clean/Delete infected files within compressed files to have the Security Agent scan compressed attachments and attempt to clean any infected files detected. The Security Agent deletes files that are uncleanable.
  6. Click OK.
