Deleting Logs

Use the Log Maintenance screen to immediately delete logs or to configure automatic log deletion for the following log types:

  • Virus/Spyware/Grayware log

  • Suspicious virus log

  • Product event log

  • Network reputation log

  • Security log

  • Desktop spyware/grayware log

  • Web security log

  • Firewall violation log

  • Network virus log

  • Behavior monitoring log

  • Endpoint log

  • Access log

  • Security violation log

  • Server event log

  • Security compliance log

  • Threat Migration log

  • Security statistic log

  • Data Loss Prevention log

  • C&C event log

  • Data Discovery Data Loss Prevention (DLP) log

  • Correlation log


Trend Micro recommends backing up Data Loss Prevention logs to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and keep them for at least 2 years.

  1. Navigate to Logs > Log Maintenance.

    The Log Maintenance screen appears.

  2. Select the corresponding check box for the logs you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete All in the corresponding row for logs you want to remove.
