Starting from version 22.02, the Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Plug-in for ConnectWise Automate received a major upgrade that included significant improvements in usability and performance. The upgraded version is built on a new integrated web-based data architecture and features a redesigned user interface. This topic describes how to migrate from older versions of the plug-in to the new web-based plug-in.

To support the new web-based plug-in architecture, the following data are migrated to your Trend Micro Remote Manager:
  • ConnectWise Automate Web Server URL and login credentials
  • Client information
  • Integration settings
  • Contact information
  • Endpoint information and management settings
  • User permissions settings for endpoint management
  • Ticket settings

Once the migration is complete, the plug-in cannot be rolled back to the previous version.
If you do not want to perform the migration at this time, click Not Now → Exit. (Trend Micro will remind you to complete the migration next time you log in.)

Procedure

  1. In ConnectWise Automate, click Tools → Trend Micro.
    In the Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Plug-in for ConnectWise Automate, the Set Up Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Plug-in pop-up screen appears.
  2. Provide your ConnectWise Automate integration credentials.

    We recommend that you create a unique account in ConnectWise Automate for this integration. The account must have access to all clients and endpoints, and disable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
    • ConnectWise Automate Web Server
      Note

      This web server is used to log in to ConnectWise Automate. The format is either a URL or an IP address.
    • Username
    • Password
  3. Click Start Migration.
  4. Click Done.
