Trend Micro software installed on a Macintosh computer (called "Security Agent" or "agent") reports its security status to, and obtains security settings and configurations from, the web-based Trend Micro Apex One (Mac) server. The server is managed by a designated administrator in your organization.
The Security Agent protects computers by scanning files and then performing a specific action for each security risk detected. The Security Agent also leverages the extensive web security databases from Trend Micro to check the reputation of websites that you attempt to access, and block dangerous and unsafe websites.
